Privacy Policy

How ulostock collects, uses, stores and shares information — and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who this covers

ulostock is operated by Divrect. This policy covers the ulostock website and the ulostock application.

It distinguishes two kinds of information, because our responsibilities differ between them. Account data is information about you as our customer — your name, your email address, your business details and your billing records. Business data is what you put into the product: your products, stock, customers, suppliers, staff records, sales and expenses. We determine how account data is used. Business data is yours; we hold and process it on your instruction so that the product can work.

What we collect

We collect the following, and nothing we have no use for.

  • Account details you give us when you sign up: your name, email address, phone number and business name.
  • Business and branch details you enter, including addresses.
  • Authentication data: a hashed password, session tokens, and records of sign-in activity.
  • Billing information: the plan and term you chose, invoices, and payment records. Card details are handled by our payment providers and are not stored on our systems.
  • Business data you or your staff enter into the product, including records about your own customers, suppliers and staff.
  • Files you upload, such as expense receipts, payment receipts and product images.
  • Technical data necessary to operate and secure the service, including IP address and request logs.

Why we hold it

We use this information to provide the service you have subscribed to, to authenticate you and enforce the permissions you have configured, to take payment and issue invoices, to send transactional email such as password resets and approval notifications, to support you when you ask us to, and to keep the service secure and working.

We do not sell your data. We do not share business data with other customers — each business operates in an isolated workspace, and records are scoped to the business that owns them at the data layer.

Who processes it on our behalf

We use a small number of third parties to run the service. Each processes data only as needed to perform its function.

  • Payment providers, to take subscription payments and to verify a payment method. Depending on your market this may be Paystack, Stripe, Flutterwave or Adyen. They receive your billing details directly; we receive a reference to the result.
  • Brevo, for transactional email such as password resets and approval notifications.
  • Our hosting and storage providers, which run the application, the database and the storage holding files you upload.

Security

Access to the application requires authentication, and what an authenticated user can see and do is governed by the roles and permissions you configure. Passwords are stored hashed, never in a readable form. Traffic between your browser and the service is encrypted in transit.

Our security practices are described in more detail on the security page.

How long we keep it

We keep account and business data for as long as your account is active. After cancellation we keep it for a limited period so that the account can be restored, and then delete it.

Records we are required to retain for accounting or legal reasons — invoices, for example — are kept for as long as that obligation lasts.

The specific retention periods that apply to your account are set out in your agreement with us. If you need them confirmed before subscribing, ask us.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it. Most of it you can get yourself: every report in the product exports to PDF or Excel, and your raw data can be requested at any time.

Send any request to hello@ulostock.com and we will respond. Where the request concerns business data belonging to one of our customers rather than to you, we will direct you to that business, since it is theirs and not ours to release.

Cookies

The application uses cookies that are necessary for it to function — principally to keep you signed in and to identify which business workspace you are working in. These cannot be switched off without breaking the service. We do not use advertising cookies.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Where a change is material we will tell you.

Questions about this policy, or about anything on it, go to hello@ulostock.com.
